Instructor – Piano and Guitar – Bayonne Youth Center, Inc Bayonne, NJ Teaching & Education

Location: In-Person, Bayonne, NJ Position Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday and weekends, based on student enrollment and instructor availability

The Bayonne Youth Center is seeking experienced Piano and Guitar Teachers to join our after school music program. This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic musician who enjoys teaching and has experience working with students ranging from young children through high school age The instructor will be responsible for creating dynamic, engaging lessons that challenge and inspire students.

The ideal candidate will teach both one-on-one and group lessons
, provide instruction in music fundamentals and theory, and develop thoughtful lesson plans.
Piano and Guitar teaching opportunities are immediate.
Other instrument teachers may also apply.

• Be comfortable working with children and adults
• Have a valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation
• 5+ years of teaching experience
• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design
• Experience creating and documenting thoughtful lesson plans
• Experience working with students ranging from young children through high school age
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Passion for teaching and helping students develop their musical abilities
• Ideal candidate is a working musician with formal music school training
• Ability to teach multiple instruments, particularly piano and guitar, is highly desirable
