Our client is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience in residential real estate transactions to join its Bayonne, NJ office. This is a fast-paced, high-volume practice, handling single-family homes, multi-family units, condominiums, and rental/investment properties. The associate will manage multiple transactions simultaneously, handle detailed due diligence, and ensure smooth closings while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and client service.
This role is in the office 4 days a week and 1 day remote. This is an excellent opportunity to join a top NJ firm. They have excellent benefits and a very friendly work environment.
Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr
Responsibilities- Draft, review, and negotiate residential real estate agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, and financing documents.
- Conduct due diligence, including title review, zoning and land use compliance, municipal approvals, and lender requirements.
- Manage all aspects of residential closings, coordinating with clients, lenders, title companies, and other attorneys.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues that may arise during transactions, including title exceptions, liens, or regulatory concerns.
- Advise clients on zoning, land use, title, and regulatory matters.
- Collaborate with other attorneys on transactional and business law matters, as needed.
- Support environmental and insurance considerations relevant to residential real estate.
- Maintain strong client relationships and support business development efforts, such as responding to client inquiries and assisting with marketing initiatives.
- Track deadlines, organize documentation, and ensure compliance with internal and external procedures.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New Jersey Bar;
New York Bar a plus. - 2+ years of residential real estate transactional experience in a fast-paced practice.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
