What You'll Be DoingThe Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. You will coordinate care planning with other disciplines and provide direct and indirect patient care in the emergency setting. The role requires initiative, flexibility, and responsibility, with minimal supervision. You must triage safely, rapidly, and accurately, determining care priorities based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as patient flow factors.
- Communicate with physicians about changes in patient status, symptoms, and diagnostic results.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment. Use ED-specific equipment effectively.
Full-time night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7 pm to 7:30 am, with rotating weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Associate Degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - Current New Jersey RN license.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and/or ENPC certification within 1 year of hire.
- At least 8 hours of education every two years in trauma assessment, intervention, and stabilization.
