Assist the Director in planning and implementing performance improvement initiatives and data collection. Inform, educate, and involve staff in performance improvement initiatives; monitor supply use, personnel allotment, and equipment use; and provide the Manager with pertinent information and recommendations.
- Maintain awareness of productivity to keep staffing within budget.
- Provide continuity of nursing leadership when the Director is not on the unit, directing staff and maintaining a professional environment.
- Assist the Director in counseling, disciplinary action, and evaluation of staff.
- Review patient charts for completeness and accuracy.
- Facilitate patient satisfaction by explaining waiting times and providing realistic expectations.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a current New Jersey State Registered Nurse License.
- Bachelor’s Degree required or currently enrolled in a Bachelor program.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in telemetry and/or critical care, including charge nurse experience.
- BLS and ACLS preferred.
