Assist the Director in planning and implementing performance improvement initiatives and data collection. Inform, educate, and involve staff in performance improvement initiatives; monitor supply use, personnel allotment, and equipment use; and provide the Manager with pertinent information and recommendations.

• Maintain awareness of productivity to keep staffing within budget.
• Provide continuity of nursing leadership when the Director is not on the unit, directing staff and maintaining a professional environment.
• Assist the Director in counseling, disciplinary action, and evaluation of staff.
• Review patient charts for completeness and accuracy.
• Facilitate patient satisfaction by explaining waiting times and providing realistic expectations.

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a current New Jersey State Registered Nurse License.
• Bachelor’s Degree required or currently enrolled in a Bachelor program.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in telemetry and/or critical care, including charge nurse experience.
• BLS and ACLS preferred.
