• Provide total, comprehensive care to patients by applying the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Complete initial assessment according to policy and reassess patient condition per policy.
• Review preoperative paperwork and follow up to ensure completion.
• Anticipate changes in the patient's clinical data and adjust the plan of care.
• Collaborate with the patient, significant others, and ancillary departments, functioning as part of the multidisciplinary health‑care team to provide continuous, coordinated care.
• Prioritize and organize work assignments and adjust priorities based on changing situations.
• Provide for current and anticipated education needs, incorporating education into the plan of care.
• Perform effectively in emergency situations.
• Communicate proactively with the health‑care team about changes in patient condition, progress, discharge plans, and other relevant information.
• Document patient care and required safety checks accurately and legibly.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and improve performance as a team member.
• Demonstrate competent professional practice and engage in opportunities for professional growth.
• Contribute to the productivity and professional environment of the department.
• Promote professional practice and a positive atmosphere.

Per diem, varied shift.

• RN NJ licensure required.
• BSN preferred.
• Acute care experience preferred.
• At least 1–2 years of PACU and SDS experience preferred in an acute care setting.
• BLS certification; ACLS preferred; PALS within six months of hire.
• Technical and computer skills required.
• Certification in ASPAN or specialty preferred.
