Security Technician – 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Location: Central/North Jersey

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

We are looking for a skilled Security Technician to join our team on a 6‑month contract‑to‑hire basis.
The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience installing and servicing IP‑based security systems in commercial and industrial settings.

Key responsibilities include installing access control systems, electronic door and lock hardware, running and terminating cables, and troubleshooting issues. Candidates should be self‑driven, maintain a professional appearance, and communicate effectively with customers.

Please note: During the contract period, candidates will use their own vehicle to travel. This is a field‑based role, responding to client installation and service calls across Central and North Jersey – not a single‑site position.

• Installation and servicing of CCTV systems
• Installation and servicing of Card Access systems
• Installation and servicing of Burglar/Fire Alarm systems
• Strong construction knowledge
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings
• Excellent problem‑solving skills

• Ability to operate hand and power tools, lift up to 50 lbs, and install/service security devices
• Clear communication with customers and team members
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights (12–32 feet or higher using man lifts)
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to recognize and identify colors
• Dependable and punctual attendance
• Ability to work full‑time schedule and overtime as needed
• Available for travel, including nights and weekends
• Required to wear company uniform and maintain a neat appearance

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bayonne, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 – $32.00/hr.
