As a Fitness Trainer, you will operate the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF).
Responsibilities include:
- Create a class schedule for members, including Orientation and DYOP (Develop your Own Program).
- Proactively engage with members on the club floor regarding their fitness goals; instruct them on safe equipment use and provide support as needed.
- Promote the Judgement Free Zone® by connecting with members on the club floor and supporting their fitness journeys while upholding club policies.
- Regularly walk through all fitness areas to ensure a great member experience and promptly address issues as identified.
- Perform prospective member calls and tours; assess membership needs and offer Trainer services.
Daily responsibilities may also include:
- Greet members/guests as they enter or exit the club and assist with questions during check-in.
- Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with inquiries.
- Clean and sanitize exercise equipment and spa amenities; maintain cleanliness of communal spaces and assigned area.
- Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and clutter-free according to schedule.
- The hourly pay range for this position is $16.99 to $18.49. Planet Fitness reserves the right to pay above or below the posted range based on factors unrelated to protected class.

- 6–12 months of experience in a customer service environment is preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Willing to become CPR/AED Certified (training provided by Planet Fitness).
- Nationally Certified Training Certificate required.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Continual standing and moving throughout the club during shift.
- Continuous communication in person or by phone during shift.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Exposure to potential chemicals during shifts.
- Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
- Ability to move, bend, and twist to accomplish tasks.
All team members contribute to a safe and healthy workplace by following policies and protocols, reporting unsafe conditions, and conducting work safely.
