What You Will Do
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry, tools, procedures, and best practices
  • Ability to lead crews
  • Conduct morning production meetings to discuss daily plans and concerns
  • Assign job tasks and ensure proper training of crew members
  • Coordinate work according to priorities and plans
  • Serve as a safety role model for the team
  • Enforce OPD and client‑specific safety policies and procedures on the jobsite
  • Anticipate and recognize potential safety and environmental concerns and report them to the OPD Superintendent
  • Communicate with the OPD Superintendent, Logistics Manager, and Construction Manager for material requirements and scheduling of concrete pours and rebar orders
  • Verify that forms and concrete meet client specifications
  • Plan equipment, soil treatment, and safety considerations for all planned civil work, including excavations and trenching
  • Lead by example, showing respect and professionalism
  • Maintain a clean job site
  • Use a computer to write daily reports, employee discipline records, JSAs, and communicate via e‑mail

Physical Demands
  • Work outdoors under extreme heat, humidity, cold, and at high elevations
  • Lift and carry objects up to 60 lbs
  • Stand for extended periods up to 11 hours per day with breaks every 2.5 hours
  • Engage in frequent use of arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending
Basic Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience as a civil foreman
  • Ability to read and understand civil, structural, and pipe drawings
  • Proficiency in using a sight level and transit to determine coordinates and elevations
  • Experience in a gas plant construction environment
  • Experience leading teams of 10–30 people
  • Commitment to advancing safety culture
  • Effective communication across crafts: civil, pipe, and structural
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Three or more years of experience as a foreman
  • Full competence with excavation, trenching, soil jobs, and safety considerations
  • Consistent progression into field leadership roles
  • Experience working across multiple crafts: pipe, civil, structural
