Overview

Part-Time Writing Center Tutor position focused on guiding student writers to improve their writing through strategy, feedback, and guidance on assignment instructions, writing processes, and grammar conventions. The tutor helps develop the writer rather than producing a single final piece.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Writing tutors share knowledge of writing strategies with student writers, provide a reader's response to drafts, and coach on assignment instructions, writing strategies, and grammar conventions; the goal is to help produce a better writer, not just one piece of writing.
