Coordinator - IT Infrastructure

Overview

The Coordinator – IT Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of critical IT infrastructure systems and software, including next-generation firewalls (NGFW), virtual machines, backup infrastructure, storage area networks (SAN), and core networking equipment. This role ensures the reliability, performance, and security of these systems through proactive management, regular updates, and adherence to best practices. The Coordinator – IT Infrastructure will also play a key role in evaluating and recommending improvements to the infrastructure environment, contributing to the organization's overall IT strategy and operational efficiency.

• Education/Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Industry Certification in at least one, preferably more in the following specializations.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate
  • Comp Tia Certifications (A+, NET+, Project+, Security+, Server+, Linux+)
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
  • VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
  • Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)
• Special Knowledge/Skills
  • Microsoft Windows server and workstation installation, administration, and management
  • Managing and maintaining physical and logical devices
  • Managing users, computers, and groups on the network
  • Managing and maintaining access to resources in a server environment, including disaster recovery
  • Installation, administration, and management experience with local area networks and wide area networks, network device communication, and infrastructure network electronics
  • Managing and maintaining a next generation firewall
  • Managing and maintaining backup infrastructure for immutable and redundant backups of all core systems
  • Managing and maintaining a storage area network and its networking infrastructure
  • Managing and maintaining virtual machines, hypervisors, physical hosts and servers
• Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with technology applied to an educational setting
  • Possess strong communication skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects

$85,881 - $111,213 dependent upon experience
