Location: Baytown, TX (on site)

Duration: Long‑Term Contract

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday (No on‑call; occasional Saturday work once per quarter)

Rate: $40/hr W2

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to support one of our direct clients in Baytown, TX. This role provides hands‑on infrastructure support across desktop, server, domain, and network environments for a large research network consisting of approximately 750 PCs, 60 network switches, 75 servers, and 1,000 users. The ideal candidate is a proactive IT professional with strong troubleshooting skills and experience supporting enterprise‑level hardware and software environments.

• Install and support Cisco workgroup switches (programming new switches, patching fiber/copper, port modifications).
• Provide support for network, domain, and server environments as needed.

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot PC hardware (Dell, HP, etc.).
• Install additional hardware components (Ethernet cards, memory, etc.).
• Support server hardware installations (Dell).

• Install and support software on PCs and servers (Microsoft, Symantec, SCCM).
• Provide maintenance and updates through SCCM as required.

• Support installation and troubleshooting of printers and barcode readers (HP, Xerox, Zebra).

• Manage users, groups, policies, and general AD maintenance.

• Standard business hours (Mon–Fri)
• No on‑call rotation
• Quarterly Saturday work may be required for planned maintenance activities
