What We OfferThe Logistics Representative I position completes all functional requirements using SAP and other systems dealing with finished goods inventory. This will include document preparation, order processing, inventory balancing/closeouts, coordination of container availability scheduling of Customer Orders, verification of shipments and ancillary activities associated with the delivery of Covestro's products to meet customer requirements. This position will support the department goals and supply data to the Supervisor to ensure growth and sustainability.
MajorResponsibilities
- Performs day-to-day Logistics activities which include the area of transportation, planning and Order process of finished product, with direction from management or senior members of the group.
- Responsible for timely and accurate order processing with frequent audit checks.
- Responsible for daily order/inventory coordination with the Supply Chain Center, product management, production units and shipping logistics operations.
- Provide input to Monthly Report and other reports.
- Fundamental knowledge of current order processing technologies (SAP, Tools, etc.), laws and regulations.
- Supports key assigned responsibilities within the group.
- Timely responses to customer complaints involving Shipping Logistics.
- Deal effectively with ambiguity, diverse personalities/situations, multiple tasks and completing priorities.
- Maintains key relationships with other Supply Chain areas.
- Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 years of relevant experience OR
- Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management or similar degree with 1 year of relevant experience.
- The eligibility to apply for and obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within a reasonable timeframe.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of SAP.
- Knowledge &
Skills:- Knowledge of Excel, Power Point, Word, Web Based Applications.
- Knowledge of logistics activities and processes.
- Familiarity with Supply Chain processes and key integration areas.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
