Finishing Operator

Ensuring that couplings are properly doped, thread caps are placed and tightened on the ends. Also starting the couplings by hand for specified threaded end.

Working Conditions:

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment; hot when weather is hot and cold when weather is cold. Greasy, dirty and noisy environment. Work involves lifting, pulling and/or pushing of materials and product up to 65 pounds. Standing and walking considerable distances. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats.

Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

• High School or equivalent work related experience.
• Read, write and speak English in a clear and effective manner required.
• Ability to use hands to clean, paint and lift objects to chest height.
• Must have good finger dexterity and good hand and eye coordination.
• Must be able to work with others, with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.

• To support all functions of the department.
• Verify incoming material against work orders.
• Ensure proper doping and deburring.
• Employee must follow all PPE policies and safety rules.

• Doping, drifting, stencil, capping, deburring, paint machinery.
• This position may require operating a forklift.
• Complete Job Safety Analysis on a daily basis.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area and keep it free and clear of debris.
• Other duties as assigned.

• This position has the authority to stop work if he deems it necessary, for reasons of possible equipment, pipe damage or safety concern.

High School or better.
