The Nursing Manager is a registered nurse who has 24-hour comprehensive operational responsibility for the delivery and quality of patient care provided in the designated areas of responsibility. The manager assists with developing and implementing performance initiatives to ensure optimal patient safety, outcomes, and customer satisfaction. Demonstrates leadership qualities and critical thinking through self-direction, initiative, effective interpersonal skills, and strong oral/written communication skills.
Fosters interdepartmental and interdisciplinary collaboration. Participates in committees, representing the unit and nursing in a positive manner.
Bachelor's degree required;
Master's preferred. One degree must be in Nursing.
Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a clinical setting. Leadership experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, and RegistrationsCurrent Texas RN license required. CPR certification required. For magnet-designated hospitals, an applicable magnet-recognized certification must be obtained within 6 months (preferred at all other locations).
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesDo you have 5+ years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing?

Are you willing to work in Baytown, TX?
Do you hold a TX RN license, a multi-state license, or are you willing to obtain a TX RN license?
Ideal CandidateA strong leader with over 5 years of nursing experience in medical/surgical nursing within an acute care setting.
