Healthcare Nursing, RN Nurse
The RN II is a staff nurse, functioning at the Competent stage of our clinical practice model. The RN II provides effective and efficient direct patient care to a patient team, which may include patients with varied and complex needs. The RN II assumes leadership roles with increasing responsibility, including participating in or leading unit and shared governance initiatives, serving as charge nurse or preceptor to students or new employees, and contributing to service line or hospital-wide initiatives.

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor's degree required for new hires. ADN nurses considered if currently or planning to transition to a BSN. 10 CEUs annually, with 5 within specialty.
Experience RequirementsMinimum 18 months of nursing experience required. Previous ER experience strongly preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, and RegistrationsCurrent Texas RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS). Additional certifications as required by the unit.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Competent in skills and competencies per orientation and annual assessments.
- Basic computer skills and effective communication in English.
- Current RN license in good standing.
- American Heart Association - Healthcare Provider CPR.
- Critical care nursing experience of 2+ years preferred.
- Do you hold a current RN license in good standing?
- Do you have AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification?
- Are you interested in working in Baytown, TX?
- Do you have previous nursing experience in an acute care setting?
- Are you able to work 7p-7a with rotating weekends off?
- Med/surg experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Availability for 7a-7p shifts.
