The RN II is a staff nurse functioning at the Competent stage of our clinical practice model. The RN II provides direct patient care to a patient team, including patients with varied and complex needs. The RN II may assume leadership roles such as charge nurse, preceptor, or participate in service line or hospital initiatives. Responsibilities align with hospital Pillars of Excellence:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• At least 18 months of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in OR, plastics, CVOR
• Current Texas RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• CNOR certification preferred

• Competent in skills as per orientation and competency checklists
• Basic computer skills
• Effective communication skills in English

• Current RN license in good standing
• Current CPR card (American Heart Association - Healthcare Provider)
• Availability to start within 30 days
• Willingness to take call
• Ability to work 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts
• Recent OR experience (2+ years)
• Non-smoker/tobacco user

Excellent customer service skills, team player, critical thinker, experienced in OR (orthopedics, plastics, robotic surgery), able to work in a fast-paced environment, willing to take call.
