Position GoalsThis job description for the ER staff RN at Patients Emergency Room and Hospital provides criteria for the evaluation of the Registered Nurse in a staff nurse position.
The ER staff RN at Patients Emergency Room and Hospital cares for all patients including neonates, infants, children, adults and geriatrics. The ER staff RN will strive to provide proficient, competent care while maintaining the patient’s sense of comfort and dignity.
Position Responsibilities
T he ER staffRN at Patients Emergency Room and Hospital will be responsible for:
- 1 .Assessing,planning,implementingandevaluationcareofemergency patients.
- 2.MeetingandmaintainingtheRNStandardsof Practice for Patients Emergency Room and Hospital
- 3.Participatesinactivitiestoplan,measure,assessandimprovethequalityofpatient care.
- 4.Carryingoutordersbyphysicianaccuratelyand efficiently
- 5.Identifyingemergenciesandprovidingnecessary intervention
- 6.Showingleadershipanddirectionwithco-workersandotherstaff members.
- 7.Communicatingappropriatelywithpatientsandco- workers
- 8. Showing knowledgewhencollaboratingwithphysicians,nursesandotherclinicalfacilitiesinmaking decisions about patient care
Position Requirements
Therequirementsforemploymentwith Patients Emergency Room and Hospital are:
2.Successfulcompletionofclinicalorientationwithprovencapabilitiesinskill,knowledgebaseandvisionof Patients Emergency Room and Hospital
3.Current Texas Registered Nurse licensurewiththe
State
Boardofnurse Examiners.
License must be in good standing.

- Clinicalcompetenciesinabnormallabortestvalues,medications and interactions
6.Maintainsskilllevelbycontinuingeducation,collaborativetrainingwithco-workersandphysiciansandannual skills check offs.
