As a Field Service Technician I, you'll support service and installation work for industrial modular buildings-often at high-security sites such as refineries and petrochemical plants. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with basic construction knowledge who's eager to learn and grow in the field. You'll assist with common repairs like door hinges, flooring, carpentry, and basic HVAC issues, as well as help with building installs and removals.
You'll travel to customer sites, follow strict safety procedures, and learn how to manage job tasks with support from experienced team members. Over time, you'll build your skills in problem-solving, hands-on repairs, and customer service. You'll also be part of a team that ensures Red Guard's reputation for quality and reliability stays strong, by delivering great service and clear communication on every job.
- Assists with assessing and completing basic repairs on modular buildings under the guidance of senior technicians.
- Learns to identify building components, materials, and systems commonly used in industrial modular structures.
- Supports routine preventative maintenance tasks and responds promptly to service needs.
- Helps maintain tools, equipment, and inventory on the service truck to ensure readiness for job sites.
- Provides on-site support to experienced technicians and may assist in coordinating with subcontractors as needed.
- 6+ months of experience in a service or industrial setting, preferably refinery or Petro-chemical industry.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Examiner's Certification [Medical Card].
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card.
- Must be able to travel frequently.
- Some knowledge of the construction field, including skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical and/or HVAC.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to operate forklifts, manlifts and aerial platforms.

- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. of materials or tools; able to work on roofs and at heights in excess of 8 feet or better, able to wear all of the designated proper PPE during an entire 10 to 12-hour shift while on site; able to understand and follow all of the safety requirements including Lock Out/Tag Out, the proper operation of tools, equipment, vehicles and handling if materials.
- Visual Acuity Requirements: 20/20 vision or correctable to 20-20 vision and able to wear (if needed) prescription safety glasses while on the job and operating equipment without having to wear contacts.

Working in the four seasons of the year in the continental United States and Canada. Varying conditions from hot and humid to wet, cold and sometimes freezing temperatures.
