Pipefitter Helpers assist experienced pipe fitters in pipe installation, metal handling, and on‑site safety. The role requires physical aptitude, knowledge of pipe fittings, and the ability to work in a high‑energy construction environment.

• Assist pipe fitters with pipe setup, assembly, and installation.
• Prepare pipes and fittings for hoisting, rigging, and cutting.
• Identify and mark bending and cutting lines on metal sheets.
• Operate tools and equipment including beveling machines, grinders, torches, magnetic drills, welding machines, and Saw‑Zall.
• Maintain a clean work area and restock supplies as needed.
• Support a strong safety culture by recognizing hazards, attending safety meetings, and following OPD and client safety policies.

• Work in outdoor weather conditions, extreme heat/humidity, cold, and high elevations.
• Lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs, standing up to 12 hrs per day, and performing repetitive arm, leg, and body motions.
• Operate on elevated platforms, beams, and pipes while wearing a full‑body harness and lanyard.

• At least 6 months of experience in an industrial or construction environment.
• Basic knowledge of pipe fittings, bolts, valves, and metal types.
• Willingness to travel and work extended periods away from home in remote areas.
• Ability to work 12‑hour shifts, 7 days per week, and meet all physical demands.
• Attendance at mandatory safety meetings required.

• Experience reading ISO drawings and pipe drawings.
• Previous helper experience in a pipefitter or gas plant construction environment.
• Strong safety record and teamwork skills.
