Heavy Equipment Operator

Company Overview

Industrial Civil Construction Contractor specializing in structural concrete and sitework/earthwork looking for Heavy Equipment Operators (Pan & Scraper, Backhoe, Excavator, Roller, Dozer, Rough Terrain Forklift, etc.).

Under the direction of the Superintendent/Foreman a Heavy Equipment Operator will carry out assignments related to operation of heavy equipment in relation to the following areas.

• Completes Trenching & Pit Excavations (If Applicable)
• Controls and maintains lay‑out lines during excavation
• Maintains OSHA standards with benching and slopes during and after operation
• Determines what type of lay‑back or bench is needed for safe working conditions by type of soils
• Determines what type of equipment is needed
• Completes Finishing Applications and Hoisting
• Exercises the proper methods of back filling in lifts (for example keep lifts level and consistent for proper compaction.)

• Must be willing to work in all kinds of weather and working conditions. Must be willing to assume the physical risks of working in an outdoor environment which includes but is not limited to traffic, construction equipment, extreme heat and/or cold and wildlife.
• Must have ability to exert physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to pass hair follicle drug screen and background check.
