The City of Mont Belvieu, Texas is currently accepting applications for Golf Cart and Range Attendant in the Parks & Recreation Department. The City of Mont Belvieu is a growing community located on IH-10 east of Houston, Texas in Chambers County.

Responsibilities
  • Provides a full range of custodial duties related to the care, maintenance, and cleaning of a golf cart fleet; interacts with golfers and vendors when answering questions or obtaining and distributing information; other assigned manual labor tasks.
  • Reports directly to Pro Shop Coordinator.
  • Provides and stages golf carts for rental by customers; places carts in the cart barn at the close of business and ensures all carts are properly charged.
  • Performs minimum repairs to carts as needed; ensures appropriate tire pressure and notifies supervisor of any major repairs needed.
  • Records all minor and major repairs performed on carts by cart number.
  • Thoroughly cleans carts nightly and performs quarterly deep cleaning of bodies and underneath.
  • Operates air compressor and pressure washer when needed.
  • Cleans and maintains outside areas of the cart barn; collects trash; participates in light landscaping as required (e.g., trimming shrubs, watering plants, pulling weeds).
  • Adheres to assigned work schedule and City attendance policies; complies with City Personnel Rules and Regulations.
  • Runs range cart and manages range ball supply.
  • Assists Golf Pro Shop staff with miscellaneous duties during tournaments and on high-volume days.
  • Executes opening and closing procedures, including arming/disarming alarm system and unlocking/locking doors and gates.
  • Organizes and maintains all common spaces and storage areas.
  • Provides a welcoming and encouraging environment to patrons.
  • Performs related maintenance duties as required.
Required Education And Experience
  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver License.
  • Successful candidates must pass pre-employment drug screen, job-related physical, and background check.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered when hiring for this role.

  • Numerical proficiency and ability to perform basic arithmetic and unit conversions.
