Position PurposeThe Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations and ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety. This role serves as a liaison between warehouse staff and management, coordinating tasks such as receiving, shipping, and putting away materials and products. The Warehouse Lead plays a key role in maintaining high levels of productivity and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This is a 100% ONSITE position in Houston, TX.
MainDuties, Tasks, and Responsibilities of the Role
- Assign daily tasks and monitor workflow to ensure timely completion.
- Key liaison between warehouse and the shipping office
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to team members.
- Oversee receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure inventory accuracy and order fulfilment.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
- Assist in inventory control and cycle counts.
- Report any issues, delays, or discrepancies to warehouse management.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
- Support automation tools like barcode scanners, RFID, and conveyors
- Work with other warehouse team members to effectively complete assigned tasks
- Assist Warehouse Supervisor with overall management of facility
- Assist leadership with staffing, coordinating temp workers, and liaising with partner organizations
- High school diploma/GED required
- Previous warehouse experience 2-4 years
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of SAP & Excel
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
- Able to work independently
- Teamwork, Dependable, and Reliable
- Available to work occasional weekends
