As our Inventory Clerk
, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the inventory of products and materials within our cold storage facility. This role ensures that all stock levels are accurate, orders are processed efficiently, and inventory records are kept up to date. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining optimal stock levels.
- Oversee daily inventory activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing products.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all inventory transactions.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track and manage inventory.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure data accuracy within the inventory management system.
- Maintain product integrity by ensuring proper storage conditions are consistently met.
- Implement and uphold quality control measures to minimize product damage and loss.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Communicate with customers regarding inventory status and resolve any issues.
- Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet customer needs and expectations.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Monitor and optimize storage space utilization.
- Identify and recommend improvements to warehouse processes and workflows.
- Experience: Previous experience in inventory management, warehouse, or supply chain roles is required. Cold storage experience is preferred
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional education or certification in inventory management or supply chain management is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in cold storage environments as low as
-10°F - Stand, walk, and lift as required for job duties
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
