Location: Beachwood, NJ

Salary: $100,000–$120,000

Schedule: 100% Onsite | Monday–Friday

We’re partnering with a leading behavioral healthcare organization serving New Jersey. The organization delivers a full continuum of care—including prevention programs, outpatient counseling, residential support, and specialized behavioral health services. With a strong mission‑driven culture and commitment to trauma‑informed care, they are focused on both community impact and employee development.

• Lead the full month‑end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and detailed financial review.
• Manage financial reporting, including cash flow analysis, budget vs. actuals, and executive dashboards.
• Coordinate external audit and review engagements; ensure audit readiness.
• Oversee the implementation and successful rollout of Sage Intacct or similar ERP system.
• Supervise a team of 4–5 accounting/finance staff, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and workflow optimization.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and healthcare accounting standards.
• Partner with program, operations, and leadership teams to support financial strategy and organizational goals.
• Utilize advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, IF statements, datasets) and PowerPoint to create meaningful presentations for senior leadership.
• Identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements across the finance function.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• Proven experience in a controller‑level role, ideally in healthcare, nonprofit, or multi‑entity environments.
• Strong technical accounting background, including GAAP, audits, and full‑cycle month‑end close.
• Experience implementing or working with Sage Intacct (or other major ERP systems).
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build accurate, insightful reporting.
• Strong leadership ability with experience managing and developing accounting teams.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort presenting to senior leadership.
