Tax Manager

Our client is looking for a new Tax Manager.

• Has attained a degree qualification and has obtained a CPA certification.
• Manages and performs technical review of all tax returns, identifies and resolves major issues, and involves specialists as appropriate
• Has a general knowledge and application of the relevant professional standards, emerging laws and regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
• Applies technical expertise and interprets laws, regulations and standards to formulate client-related recommendations. Utilizes knowledge of recently issued professional pronouncements and regulatory changes relevant to clients and prospective clients.
• Displays advanced research skills and increased efficiency of research process.
• Participates in client discussions of tax determination, risks, and exposure with client personnel at all levels of the organization.
• Develops a thorough knowledge and understanding of tools and systems and processes and can apply them.
• Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate with the IRS and state taxation authorities including appeals, examinations, ruling requests and protests.
• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of IRS Circular 230 governing the practice of CPAs before the IRS.
• Engages in self-motivated continuous learning to expand professional knowledge in area of industry expertise.
• Is actively involved in the training process, including identifying training needs, and preparing and presenting training material.
• Able to anticipate problems/barriers and helps develop plans to address them.
