Clinical/Community Liaison - Program Staff

The Gathering Place is a non-profit cancer support organization located in Cleveland, Ohio that supports, educates, and empowers individuals and families coping with the impact of cancer through programs and services provided free of charge. We are seeking a full-time, licensed mental health clinician to join our team.

Job Summary

· The Community Liaison is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of programs and services addressing mental health support for individuals and families coping with the impact of cancer in their lives

· Position involves delivering services and building relationships in the community, on-site in area hospitals, and within The Gathering Place office locations

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver innovative programming to support individuals with cancer and their families within The Gathering Place locations and the community
  • Establish and maintain relationships and provide programming in the community; in particular, with agencies providing services to underserved communities
  • Work on-site within area hospitals to develop professional relationships and provide programs and individual support to patients
Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate for this position will hold a master’s degree in counseling or social work, and have licensure within the State of Ohio
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology is preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 365
  • Must have the ability to manage time, prioritize, and multi-task
  • Ability to navigate high-level interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Background with organizational and program planning skills. Must have the ability to effectively work and communicate with all levels throughout the Agency.
