• Performs mammography testing and proceduresforpatients.
• Performs quality mammograms following prescribed techniques, with minimal radiation exposure topatientsand self.
• Knowledge of MQSA,requiredQCprocedures,andrequiredpatient outcomes tracking.
• Able to perform all applicable equipment quality control.
  Accurately records all requested database / log records
• Assists radiologists as needed.
• Consistently follows hospital and department policies and protocols,
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with privacy laws (HIPPA) and facility policies.
• Takes responsibility forself-development and supportslearningenvironment.
• Provides age-specific care to neonates through geriatrics.
• Consistently follows hospital and department guidelines for patient identification and safety.
  Adheres to ALARA, Image Gently and Image Wisely standards
  Adheres to hospital mammography safety standards
• Effectively follows directions tomaintaincompliance with State and Federal Agencies.
• Effectively follows directions tomaintaindepartment readiness based on DNV standards.

• Maintains licensure and continuing education requirements.
  Mustdemonstratethe ability to work independently.
  Proficient at instructing students andnew staff members after 1 year experience.

• Uses administrative skills to contribute to the successful operation of the department by entering and completing correct billing codes in the RIS and on patient billing sheets.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complieswithall policies and standards.
• For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
• Must abide by all requirements tosafely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
  
  Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate useof PHI in the workplace.

• Other Accredited Program:
  Completion of an accredited 2-year program in a school of Radiologic Technology (Required)

• 1+ years Registered X-ray technologist with at least one year experience preferred (Preferred)
• 1+ years Registered Mammography technologist with less than two years of experience (Required)
