Position OverviewAdvanced Behavioral Therapy (ABT) is a BCBA-owned and operated company experiencing significant growth in 2026 and is seeking an HR & Recruiting Director to work closely with leadership, clinical teams, and operations. This position offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of ABT’s people strategy, shaping talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational culture across all regions.
The HR & Recruiting Director will serve as a strategic bridge between leadership, clinical teams, and operations, ensuring ABT attracts, hires, and retains high-quality professionals who align with our mission and values. This role is essential in building scalable, compliant, and people-centered HR and recruiting systems that support exceptional service delivery and sustainable growth.

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced HR and talent acquisition leader with strong leadership and communication skills, capable of driving recruitment excellence, mentoring HR and recruiting staff, strengthening employee relations, and fostering organizational growth across multiple service settings.
Key Responsibilities- Lead HR administration and compliance across a multi-state organization, ensuring adherence to employment laws and data-privacy standards.
- Design and oversee compensation, benefits, and leave programs in partnership with executive leadership.
- Develop and execute a strategic talent acquisition strategy, overseeing high-volume and leadership hiring while strengthening employer branding.
- Manage and mentor HR and recruiting teams, driving accountability, performance, and professional growth.
- Oversee onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, and retention initiatives across all locations.
- Direct organizational training and development programs, aligning workforce capabilities with long-term growth.
- Own HR and recruiting metrics, delivering actionable insights and workforce planning recommendations to leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Clinical leadership, and Marketing to support organizational priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in a senior or director-level role overseeing multi-state compliance and employee relations.
- 3+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HRIS/ATS platforms, and HR analytics.
- Proven ability to lead teams, influence executives, and scale HR systems in a growing organization.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Master’s degree, SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification.
- Experience in healthcare, ABA, or other regulated, multi-site environments.
- Demonstrated success improving retention, engagement, and HR operational efficiency.
- Experience leading HR technology or organizational change initiatives.
