RN - Registered Nurse

• Night shift position
• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized plans of care
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis through collaboration with patient, family, and interdisciplinary team
• Provide patient information and status updates for Initial Team Conferences and weekly Re-evaluation Team Conferences
• Maintain accurate, succinct, and timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in medical records
• Participate in patient rehabilitation program on assigned unit
• Utilize nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care with priority on patient and family education
• Initiate discharge planning from day of admission and provide patient teaching in anticipation of discharge
• Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to attending physician and Charge Nurse to ensure continuity of care
• Provide direction, training, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel using problem-solving and delegation techniques
• Maintain communication with manager and senior nursing staff related to service needs including supplies and equipment
• Assume charge responsibility following orientation period as requested
• Adhere to hospital guidelines outlining standards of personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required
• BLS Certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS required prior to first shift
