Are you passionate about supporting children with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)? A specialist SEN school in Beaconsfield is seeking a dedicated SLD Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with complex needs, including communication challenges and physical disabilities.

The school provides a nurturing, inclusive environment with a strong focus on personalised learning and therapeutic support. You’ll work closely with teachers and therapists to help pupils achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with severe learning difficulties.
Assist with communication strategies, sensory activities, and adapted learning resources.
Support personal care routines and promote independence.
Implement behaviour and learning plans under teacher guidance.
Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with children or young people with SLD, PMLD, or complex needs.
Patient, empathetic, and adaptable with a genuine passion for SEN education.
Ability to use communication aids (PECS, Makaton) and sensory approaches.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to undertake training in safeguarding and specialist SEN strategies.
