Role Overview

Fremantle College, Department of Education WA – Beaconsfield WA – is seeking a passionate and engaging Drama Teacher to join the vibrant Arts Team. This is an 18‑month fixed‑term, full‑time position commencing Term 3, 2026 with possible extension (12 months) and/or permanency.

Responsibilities
  • Refine and build upon existing drama programs, implementing the new School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) Drama curriculum.
  • Deliver high‑impact drama instruction that aligns with the college’s emphasis on student learning and achievement.
  • Drive and manage College productions as a continual investment in the arts portfolio.
  • Collaborate with other Arts and Technologies staff to support integrated learning experiences.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents/carers, staff and community members.
  • Contribute to the college’s values of Curiosity, Enthusiasm for Learning, Kindness, Perseverance and Leadership within every lesson.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Hold a valid teacher registration for the State of Western Australia and have relevant drama teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, design and deliver engaging drama lessons for diverse learners.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; evidence of fostering positive relationships.
  • Proficiency in collaborating across the Arts and Technologies team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and to addressing Advanced Teaching and Learning (AITSL) domains.
