Project Accountant

JSS Search are delighted to be supporting our client, a fast growth successful business based in Beaconsfield, on the recruitment of this new Project Accountant role. This Project Accountant role will be a 12 month FTC contract.

The ideal candidate will have experience in management accounting, cost management, cost reporting; cash management and allocation of costs, allied with good stakeholder management and data analysis skills. The role will support the commercial teams and will also manage a finance analyst who will be responsible to assisting with month end, data analysis and transactional processes.

• Manage month-end process for a major project, accruals and prepayments
• Provide accurate monthly cost analysis and cost reporting, including reconciliation of costs and correct cost allocation.
• Manage Work in Progress (WIP)
• Continuously improve financial processes & procedures and controls
• Oversee and ensure compliance with established financial processes and procedures.
• Lead and / or assist with balance sheet reviews, ensuring reconciliations are completed on time and to a high standard.
• Timesheet allocation
• Turning data into insight (performance summaries, presentations) and make recommendations
• Manage and coach one finance analyst

• Ideally Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with post qualified experience
• Management Accounting and reporting
• Experience of cost analysis and cost management is an advantage
• Project accounting and/or WIP would be an advantage
• Commercial acumen, ability to help ensure costs and margins and managed

• Salary of circa £55,000-£60,000 plus bonus and benefits
