Actual Salary £15,532 to £15,779 per annum (Grade 5, SCP 5-6)
This post is for 4 days per week (26 hours) and 39 weeks per year
We are looking for a versatile, well‑organised and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our SEN Team until July 2026.
Role OverviewThe successful candidate will work with students across all year groups, providing both in‑class support and delivering interventions to small groups. The school day is 8.30 am – 3.30 pm Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities- Are enthusiastic about working with a range of pupils with differing needs and abilities
- Show initiative and a keenness to be involved in all aspects of school life
- Take a flexible and pro‑active approach to working
- Have a proven track record of good working relationships and professionalism
- Feel confident working both 1:1 and with small groups of students
Essential qualities:
- Discretion, empathy, good personal organisation and time‑keeping
- Excellent communication skills
- A desire to see young people achieve their potential
Preferred:
- Previous experience of working with young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (not essential; training available)
- Teaching as a career
- Returning to work following a career or other break
- Seeking flexibility around family life
