5. Annual salary £19,415 pay award pending. 32.5 hrs/week, term time only + all staff training days (39 weeks per year).
We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Specialist Resourced Provision for Communication and Interaction (C&I).
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly supportive and skilled team, providing tailored support to students with neurodiverse needs. We welcome applications from individuals with experience in this area, as well as those who have a strong interest and a willingness to develop their expertise.
The successful applicant will have high expectations, a commitment to excellence and be passionate about meeting the needs of every child. They will be able to offer support across the curriculum and demonstrate that they can engage well with young people and build positive relationships.
Essential qualities include discretion, empathy, good personal organisation and time‑keeping, excellent communication skills and a desire to see young people achieve their potential.
Working hours are 8.30am-3.30pm Monday to Friday.
The Successful Candidate Will- Work closely with specialist teachers to deliver personalised support programmes
- Support students to access the curriculum and develop communication skills
- Promote independence, emotional regulation and positive engagement in learning
- Contribute to a structured, nurturing and specialist learning environment.
- Is passionate about inclusive education
- Has experience supporting, or a strong interest in supporting, students with communication and interaction needs, including autism and other neurodiverse profiles
- Is willing to learn and engage in ongoing professional development
- Enjoys working in a structured, supportive and specialist setting
- Demonstrates patience, flexibility and a positive approach to supporting young people.

- Support and collaboration with external professionals, including:
- Educational Psychologists
- Speech and Language Therapists
- Local Authority Specialist Teachers
