Job Title: Quality Laboratory Technician
Location: Beaminster
Rate of pay: £13.52 per hour
Job type: Temporary (with opportunity to go permanent)
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

HRGO Recruitment is currently seeking a Quality Laboratory Technician to join a busy and well-established client. This role offers a great opportunity to work within a quality-driven environment, supporting product safety, compliance, and overall quality standards.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Quality Assurance department by carrying out laboratory testing, sampling, and ensuring adherence to company and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out goods-in sampling, including density and moisture analysis
  • Perform blend checks and approvals
  • Prepare and process samples for internal and external laboratory testing
  • Complete chemical and product testing as required
  • Record and input laboratory results into internal systems (e.g. SAP)
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including submission forms and sample logs
  • Assist with new product development activities
  • Support preparation of lab equipment and materials for testing
  • Ensure compliance with GMP and health & safety standards
  • Identify and escalation any quality, safety, or compliance issues
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to support quality objectives
Requirements:
  • Previous experience within a laboratory or quality environment is desirable
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to follow processes and maintain accurate records
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team
  • Understanding of food safety standards (e.g. HACCP, GMP) is beneficial
