We’re supporting a well-established and growing accountancy firm in Leigh-on-Sea who are seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant to join their expanding team. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who thrives in a varied role covering Accounts, Management Accounts, VAT, and Tax, with the flexibility of hybrid working.

The Role As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients, supporting on a range of compliance and advisory tasks. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for SMEs and owner-managed businesses Producing monthly/quarterly management accounts with insightful commentary Completing VAT returns and providing guidance on VAT queries Assisting with corporation and personal tax computations Supporting juniors and reviewing work where required Building strong client relationships and acting as a key point of contact About You We’re looking for someone who is:
Part-qualified ACCA/ACA or AAT Qualified (or QBE with strong practice experience) Experienced in an accountancy practice environment Confident working across Accounts, VAT, Tax and Management Accounts Organised, proactive, and able to manage a varied workload Strong with cloud accounting software (Xero, Quick Books, or similar) What’s On Offer £30,000 – £40,000 depending on experience Hybrid working model Study support available for ACCA/ACA if required A friendly, supportive team with opportunities for progression Exposure to a broad client portfolio and interesting work To be considered, apply directly through this advert OR contact Ben Bennett at Reed in Southend for a confidential chat:
