Location: Milngavie
Job Summary
Music School of Douglas Academy is a national centre of excellence, located in Milngavie. The school provides tuition to secondary school pupils in a variety of musical styles.
This position is for a part‑time Trombone tutor. Salary will be pro‑rated for part‑time hours and term‑time hours.
Responsibilities- Have experience teaching gifted students to a high level
- Teach students up to and beyond diploma level as assigned by the Course Director
- Prepare appropriately for weekly lessons
- Assess, record and report on the work of students
- Encourage students in all that they do to reach their full potential
- Ensure that students have an effective work regime
- Be aware of the students’ requirements for their general musical education
- Be aware of students’ general education requirements within Douglas Academy
- Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations as appropriate
- Prepare students for recitals and auditions when appropriate
