Salary: $38.022 per hour plus $3.00 per hour facility differential. Minimum permanent rate $39.924 after successful completion of probation.
Hours:
Monday through Friday, day shift.

At BSDC, we are committed to our mission to “Help People Live Better Lives.” We are seeking a Physical Therapy Director to oversee and guide our physical therapy services, ensuring the highest standards of care. This position plays a key role in developing treatment plans, supervising therapy staff, and ensuring high‑quality care for residents.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and implement goals and policies for the Physical Therapy Department.
- Supervise physical therapy services, both in therapy rooms and within living units.
- Oversee evaluations, treatment plans, and re‑evaluations for residents.
- Construct adaptive devices to support resident needs.
- Provide guidance to professional staff on complex treatment programs.
- Evaluate staff performance and ensure high‑quality service delivery.
- Consult with physicians on physical therapy programs for individual residents.
- Develop and oversee training programs for physical therapy staff.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to review resident care plans.
- Perform physical therapy treatments as needed.
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or a related field plus five years of progressively responsible experience in physical therapy services.
- Legal Requirement: Registered as a Physical Therapist in the State of Nebraska.
- Knowledge Of:
- Principles and practices of physical therapy.
- Human growth and development, including physical disabilities, mental illness, and intellectual disabilities.
- Techniques and equipment used in physical therapy treatment programs.
- Prosthetics and orthopedic devices used in therapy and rehabilitation.
- Ability To:
- Prepare diagnostic evaluations and document residents’ responses to therapeutic programs.
- Supervise and guide subordinate staff in treatment programs.
- Skill In: Therapeutic manipulation techniques.
