Salary: $38.022 per hour plus $3.00 per hour facility differential. Minimum permanent rate $39.924 after successful completion of probation.

Hours:

Monday through Friday, day shift.

At BSDC, we are committed to our mission to “Help People Live Better Lives.” We are seeking a Physical Therapy Director to oversee and guide our physical therapy services, ensuring the highest standards of care. This position plays a key role in developing treatment plans, supervising therapy staff, and ensuring high‑quality care for residents.

• Establish and implement goals and policies for the Physical Therapy Department.
• Supervise physical therapy services, both in therapy rooms and within living units.
• Oversee evaluations, treatment plans, and re‑evaluations for residents.
• Construct adaptive devices to support resident needs.
• Provide guidance to professional staff on complex treatment programs.
• Evaluate staff performance and ensure high‑quality service delivery.
• Consult with physicians on physical therapy programs for individual residents.
• Develop and oversee training programs for physical therapy staff.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to review resident care plans.
• Perform physical therapy treatments as needed.

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or a related field plus five years of progressively responsible experience in physical therapy services.
• Legal Requirement: Registered as a Physical Therapist in the State of Nebraska.
• Knowledge Of:
  • Principles and practices of physical therapy.
  • Human growth and development, including physical disabilities, mental illness, and intellectual disabilities.
  • Techniques and equipment used in physical therapy treatment programs.
  • Prosthetics and orthopedic devices used in therapy and rehabilitation.
• Ability To:
  • Prepare diagnostic evaluations and document residents’ responses to therapeutic programs.
  • Supervise and guide subordinate staff in treatment programs.
• Skill In: Therapeutic manipulation techniques.
