Plant Operator – Koch Fertilizer, LLC – Beatrice, Nebraska

We are looking for a Plant Operator to join our team at our Beatrice, Nebraska location.

• Pay rates starting at $35 per hour, based on experience.

Plant operators will work a 4 on/4 off schedule, 12‑hour shift, alternating days and nights, gaining hands‑on experience while supporting our manufacturing processes.

• Perform minor maintenance on manufacturing equipment and support equipment.
• Initiate daily inspections and walkdowns of critical equipment.
• Gather samples and perform product tests to ensure quality.
• Monitor plant parameters (e.g., SOCL, SOCs) and identify opportunities for correction or improvement.
• Document and report operational activities, contributing to knowledge sharing and transparency.
• Perform tasks associated with safe production of fertilizer products in an environmentally compliant and efficient manner, following all plant policies and procedures.

• Ability to work a rotating 12‑hour shift, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and callouts.
• Ability to meet physical requirements.
• Experience and application of safe work practices – Lock Out, Tag Out (LOTO);
  Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Proven experience as a plant operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of plant operations and equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to think critically and implement innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.

• Required to wear PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, goggles, hard hats, fabric and acid suits, breathing air, gloves, safety boots, respirators, and encapsulated suits (as per JSA).
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Work in hot, cold, inclement climate, and congested areas.
• Climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolds exceeding 160 ft.
