Early Intervention Specialist – Beaufort

About Play, LLC is seeking an early intervention specialist to serve families and children ages birth to six years in Beaufort, Colleton, and Jasper counties, South Carolina.

Location Requirement: Must reside in the counties listed above and surrounding areas in South Carolina.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Base salary of $40,000 per year with mileage reimbursement at $0.45 per mile up to a $565 monthly cap (potential total earnings up to $46,780 annually).

COVID-19 consideration: COVID-19 vaccine preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide family-centered early intervention services to families with infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities.
  • Perform family training with the caregiver and child in their home, daycare, or natural environment setting.
  • Provide training, education, and support to families in the areas of child development, parenting, and family functioning.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote the development of the child.
  • Monitor the progress of the child and family.
Requirements
  • Must reside in South Carolina for consideration.
  • Prior early interventionist, teaching, and early child development experience preferred, or recent/upcoming college graduate with a degree in a related field and willingness for on-the-job training.
  • Minimum 1 year of documented experience working with children birth to six years old.
  • Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in any field plus 5 years of documented experience with infants and toddlers or children age birth to five years with disabilities is acceptable.
  • Driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (Heartsaver, Infant & Child) preferred.
Hours and Travel

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.

Willingness to travel: 50–75% of the time preferred.
