American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Med Surg/Stepdown position requiring SC or compact RN license and 2 years of med surg experience with stepdown/PCU experience.

• 22-bed adult Med Surg Oncology unit that frequently floats to Stepdown and MS/Tele units
• Stepdown ratios of 1:4-5 and Med Surg ratios of 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00
• Weekday schedule with every other weekend required
• Frequent floating within the hospital to Stepdown/PCU type units
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Uses Meditech EMR

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• 2 years of med surg experience required
• Stepdown/PCU experience required due to floating responsibilities
• IV start skills required
• Meditech charting experience preferred but not required
• No license or background check issues accepted

• Care for adult Med Surg Oncology patients with frequent floating to Stepdown and Tele units
• Must be comfortable with high float frequency between Med Surg and Stepdown/PCU units
• Scrubs not provided; royal blue/white scrub color required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Minimal to no RTO approved, especially during the first weeks of assignment
• Previous staff must have been gone for at least 1 year and in good standing at departure to be considered
• First-time travelers are accepted
