School Nurse; Licensed Practical Nurse; Beaufort, SC

Step into a meaningful role working closely with a young student who needs expert nursing care at an early childhood center. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a difference as a 1:1 Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), supporting a 3-year-old student with tracheostomy and ventilator needs for the duration of the school year.

In this role, you will provide attentive nursing support within a school environment, ensuring the students safety, comfort, and well-being. Your experience and compassion will allow the child to access education with confidence.

• Active and unrestricted LPN license required
• Prior hands-on experience with tracheostomy and ventilator care, especially with pediatric patients
• Knowledge of infection prevention, emergency responses, and medication administration in a school or pediatric setting
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and educational staff
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Deliver 1:1 nursing care for a student with a tracheostomy and ventilator throughout the school day
• Monitor and support respiratory status and promptly address changes in condition
• Provide trach and vent care, suctioning, and emergency response as needed
• Administer prescribed medications and assist with daily medical needs
• Document interventions, observations, and communications per school protocols
• Foster positive, supportive relationships within the school while prioritizing the students health

This contract offers a consistent schedule of 15 hours per week, starting as soon as possible and running through late May 2027.
