American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Med Surg/Stepdown position requiring 2 years of med surg experience and SC or compact RN licensure.

• Work in a 29-bed general surgical and orthopedic unit with medical overflow
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Frequent floating between Med Surg, Stepdown, and MS/Tele units required
• Patient ratios:
  Stepdown 1:4-5, Med Surg 1:5-6
• Weekday schedule with every other weekend, floating, and holidays as needed
• Uses Meditech EMR

• Active SC RN license or compact license required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of med surg experience required
• Stepdown/PCU experience required due to floating responsibilities
• IV start skills required
• Meditech charting experience preferred but not required

• Provide nursing care across Med Surg, Stepdown, and MS/Tele units as needed
• High floating environment within a single hospital, with orientation provided per facility floating policy
• Scrubs not provided; royal blue/white scrub color required
• Must work some holidays and weekends in rotation with staff
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous employees must have been gone at least 1 year and left in good standing to be considered
• Minimal to no RTO accommodated, especially during the first weeks of assignment
• No candidates with license or background check issues will be accepted
