A respected and thriving veterinary practice in Beaumont, California, is actively seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Director (DVM) to join and lead its high-performing team. This full-service small animal hospital is known for its commitment to exceptional patient care, strong community ties, and a collaborative work culture. The Medical Director will play a key leadership role while maintaining clinical responsibilities, offering the perfect balance of medicine and management.
Position OverviewThe Medical Director will:
Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to associate veterinarians and veterinary staff
Deliver high-quality medical care including wellness, diagnostics, surgery, and preventative services
Oversee implementation of medical protocols, ensure compliance, and drive quality improvement
Perform surgeries, dental procedures, and advanced diagnostics as needed
Partner with hospital administration on strategic goals, staffing, and operational performance
Foster a team-focused, inclusive culture that encourages growth, learning, and collaboration
Maintain a flexible, sustainable work schedule that supports work-life balance
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution
Valid California veterinary license
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach
Strong surgical skills preferred
Previous leadership or mentorship experience a plus
A passion for building a strong team culture and delivering outstanding care
