Summary/Objective
The Activity Therapy Tech develops, coordinates and evaluates therapeutic activity programs for patients.

Essential Job Duties

• Assess patients to determine activity plan that relates to their recovery needs; as well as, guiding individual patients in selection of appropriate activities.
• Prepare and document Activity Assessment on each assigned patient within 72 hours of admission; as well as, document patients' participation in group notes within 24 hours.
• Demonstrate knowledge/skills to provide patient activities that are age specific and within patients' development.
• Maintain safe, therapeutic environment during group/individual participation.
• Conduct inventory of supplies needed.
• Keep areas clean and organized for safety, planning, time management.

Required Education And Experience
High School diploma or equivalent. 1–6 months of related experience.

Required License/Certifications
Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist preferred; CPR within 30 days of hire.
