Summary/ObjectiveThe Activity Therapy Tech develops, coordinates and evaluates therapeutic activity programs for patients.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Assess patients to determine activity plan that relates to their recovery needs; as well as, guiding individual patients in selection of appropriate activities.
- Prepares and documents Activity Assessment on each assigned patient within 72 hours of admission; as well as, documents patients' participation in group notes within 24 hours.
- Demonstrates knowledge/skills to provide patient activities that are age specific and within patients' development.
- Maintains safe, therapeutic environment during group/individual participation.
- Conducts inventory of supplies needed.
Keeps areas clean and organized for safety, planning, time management.
RequiredEducation and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent.
1-6 months of related experience.
Required License/CertificationsCertified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist preferred; CPR within 30 days of hire
