The Psych Program Therapist provides patient psychological counseling through group therapy and one‑on‑one sessions in numerous areas while providing clinical supervision and/or consultation to unit staff.

Key Responsibilities- Within 48 hours of patient admission, conduct interviews and complete psychosocial assessments and communicate results with medical staff and physicians.
- Within 72 hours of patient admission, coordinate and complete recovery team meetings. Lead recovery team members to ensure all parties contribute, meeting schedules are adhered to, and documentation is completed with the 72‑hour requirement.
- Ensure case‑load receives required therapies, activities, and recovery meetings. Monitor progress toward the patient’s goals and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Conduct one‑on‑one, family, and group therapies on the unit assigned with assigned patients. Coordinate daily schedules and provide coverage for therapists that are not available.
- Communicate and interact effectively with patients and their families based on sensitivity to the psychosocial needs of patients and implement measures to promote a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Provide assessments, training, education and/or consultation to outside entities and other units as required.
Education and Experience
- Master’s Degree in Social/Behavioral Science.
- 1‑3 years of related experience.
- Professional License; LPC Associate, LMSW, LPC, or LCSW.
- De‑escalation training within 90 days of hire.
