Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and dependable Industrial Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a problem solver, and works well both independently and in a team-oriented environment. This role involves the disassembly and reassembly of gearboxes, with a preference for candidates experienced in bearing setup and machine tool equipment repair.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Disassemble and reassemble gearboxes with precision and care
- Set and align bearings (preferred but not required)
- Lift and move parts or equipment weighing 50–75 lbs
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency repairs
- Collaborate effectively with team members to complete repairs and maintenance
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Accurately document work completed and parts used
Preferred
- Familiarity with machine tool equipment repair
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work on-call as needed
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Works well under pressure and in collaborative settings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- At least 1 year of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
