Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Assisted Living, Full Time

Shift: 12 Hours – 6:00 am to 6:00 pm
Job Schedule: Full Time (Days)

• Ensure that the individual health care plan is followed; administer or supervise treatments prescribed by physicians.
• Maintain compliance with all Buckner policies, procedures and requirements, as well as federal, state laws and agency regulatory guidelines.
• Make meaningful rounds of all residents, utilizing health care plans; round with physicians and accurately and timely record visits on charts.
• Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections; perform in‑house testing procedures; take and record vital signs.
• Assist in maintaining current health care plans according to a schedule rotation and document acute episodes or significant changes in resident status.
• Supervise aides in the performance of their duties by monitoring their work; assign aides to residents, specifying break times and special duties to be completed.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; current Texas nursing license.
• Complete and/or meet training and certification required by Buckner and the State of Texas.
• Minimum one‑year related experience in long‑term care preferred.
• Proficient ability to speak, read and write English.
• Ability to meet physical requirements: use up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, 20 pounds continuously; walk, stand, and perform tasks for prolonged periods as needed.
• Ability to use up to 75% of shift performing lifting, turning, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, standing, walking.
• Adhere to the Licensed Vocational Nurse practice standards as established by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.

Salary: $40,707 – $44,482
Sign‑on bonus: $2,500
