As a Hospice RN – Regional Support, You Will

• Deliver high‑quality, compassionate nursing care for hospice patients
• Manage and implement individualized plans of care
• Support and lead interdisciplinary team members (LPNs, CNAs, HHAs, etc.)
• Assess and address patients’ physical, emotional, spiritual, and environmental needs
• Accurately document all care provided and ensure compliance with hospice protocols
• Educate families and caregivers on care instructions, medications, and safety
• Participate in the on‑call rotation and provide after‑hours care as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, referral sources, and the care team
• Assist with referrals, regulatory documentation, and payer compliance
• Travel to various Gentiva hospice locations as assigned to fill urgent needs

Schedule & Travel

• Monday–Friday schedule with occasional on‑call responsibilities
• Option 1:
  Overnight travel within a 100‑mile radius
• Option 2:
  Frequent overnight travel to multiple states
• Option 3:
  Regional travel with overnight stays based on assignment needs

Qualifications – What You’ll Bring

• Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of employment
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience (hospice, home health, acute care, long‑term care, oncology, or other high acuity setting)
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

• Hospice and end‑of‑life nursing experience
• Skilled in clinical assessments and compassionate communication
• Strong critical thinking, flexibility, and problem‑solving skills
• Comfortable working in varied environments with shifting needs
• Proficient in documentation and electronic health records
• Calm and supportive in crisis situations; skilled at family engagement
